Visit outports, not just pups, sealer tells McCartney
A former president of the Canadian Sealers Association says Sir Paul McCartney should come visit the people who rely on sealing to make a living, rather than just watching seals on ice floes. The former Beatle travelled to see seal pups off the Magdalen Islands, and called on Canada to ban the commercial seal hunt.http://www.cbc.ca/nl/story/nf_small_

The sealers don't make their living from the seal hunt. They are actually fishermen who spend two weeks max at the seal hunt---they are hardly dependent on it for their living.
