Sir Paul McCartney Pulls Out Of Heather Mills' Charity Bash

The former Beatle was supposed to be the star attraction at the Adopt-A-Minefield campaign’s fundraiser in the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles on 11 October.

However, McCartney – who split with the former model a couple of months ago after three years of marriage – has now withdrawn from the event.

Pals reports he does not want his appearance to overshadow the event – although there is inevitable speculation the move indicates the couple’s divorce proceedings are becoming increasingly acrimonious.

Sir Paul himself says, "While I continue to be committed to Adopt-A-Minefield and its critical mission, given the current circumstances I will not be able to attend."
