The White Album

Hey it's me moose, I'm going to post what the White Album should have looked like if it was reduced from 30 songs to 14 songs. Many critics believed that this would have been the greatest album ever made if it was reduced, so I'm going to take a try at this. I made this fair with one Ringo song and one George Harrison song. Here it is:

Back In the USSR
Dear Prudence
Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill
Don't Pass Me By
Birthday
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Happiness Is a Warm Gun
Why Don't We Do It in the Road?
Yer Blues
Helter Skelter
Sexy Sadie
I Will
Blackbird
Julia

I didn't include "Revolution1" because the White Album version isn't as good as the B side version that went with Hey Jude. Does everyone like this?

I will try to post more of my thoughts in the future. What would your White Album look like? I consider these to be the best songs on the White Album:
Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, Blackbird, I Will, Julia, Birthday and Helter Skelter.

I think the best are:
Bungalo Bill
While My Guitar
Happiness is
I'm So Tired
Blackbird
Rocky Raccoon
Yer Blues
Mother Nature's Son
Sexy Sadie
Long Long Long
Cry Baby Cry
Revolution 9

Damn... 13 are just my favorites. I'll add Honey Pie to make it 14.
I don't see whats so good about I Will, Dear Prudence, or Julia... but thats just me.

Paul McCartney listed three songs of John's that he wished he could have written and one of them was Julia. The other two were Beautiful Boy and Imagine. I thought Julia had a lot of meaning because it was about John's mom. I never liked "I will" until last year when I heard it at Paul's concert. Paul told us a story about how a man approached him and talked about how his daughter danced to that song at her wedding. I always considered Dear Prudence to be one of the best songs on the White Album. I’m not a big fan of Revolution #9 some people consider this to be part of John’s genius creativity but when I listen to the White Album I always skip that track. Paul, George, Ringo, and George Martin fought to keep that off the record but John Lennon won the battle.

Thiago,

I also like I'm so tired but I wanted to include a Ringo Starr song on this reduced White Album. If I could include one more song I would put I'm so tired. I tried to be fair with equal contributions for Paul and John. Paul had six and John had six. Thiago what would your White Album look like?

Im sorry I didnt answer right away, so I dont know if you are reading it. My white album would be just like it is ;)

even though i do think revolution 9 and wild honey wild pie are too experimental for a major release and long long long is too boring, almost all songs on this album are classic and it is very important that they did release a double original album. I love it, its my favourite !
