Beatles Tokyo Hotel Suite Reborn

The Beatles only went to Tokyo once as a band in 1966 and stayed at the Tokyo Hilton in the presidential suite. Since then, the hotel has become the Capitol Tokyu Hotel and like many businesses and people over the years, decided to cash in a bit on Beatlemania by restoring the suite to how it looked when they were there. The room will cost close to 440,000 Japanese Yen or about $3,800.
There is some good reason behind it: the entire country of Japan is doing events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Fab Four's concerts.
Beatles cover bands are battling to be voted the best and thousands of fans have visited an exhibition of photos in Tokyo taken during their three days of concerts.
All this will indeed give new meaning to the term Japanese Beatles.
